Welcome to the ACHS Counseling Department website.  It is our mission to provide exceptional service within the educational environment that contributes to the academic success, personal growth, and positive social contribution of ACHS students.  We embrace a student-oriented philosophy that is respectful of diversity and is committed to the development of the student as a whole person. In our ever-changing world and society, it is more critical than ever to be well-informed of the latest requirements, resources, and opportunities for all of our students.

We are also here to support you through times when things seem overwhelming and stressful.  Remember:  IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!

DUTY TO WARN:  Counselors have a legal obligation, in certain situations, to report relevant issues to law enforcement and/or Department for Children and Families.  Information communicated to students:

WHAT YOU SAY IN HERE, STAYS IN HERE . . . UNLESS, SOMEONE IS HURTING YOU, YOU WANT TO HURT SOMEONE ELSE, YOU WANT TO HURT YOURSELF OR A SERIOUS CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED.

Please take the time to review this site carefully, and often.  This site is designed to be a resource, and a complement to the services that are provided by our counseling staff.  Our counseling staff is committed to the success of all students.  To reach our Counseling and Career Center, you may call the main school line (620-441-2010).
