Ever wonder how someone from a small town like Ark City can make it big in the world of event planning? Heather (Utt) Swain, a 2015 ACHS grad, did just that! She found her passion and turned it into a successful business. From feeling uncertain after high school to running her own event-planning company, Heather’s journey is a story of determination and success.
Arkansas City High School will host the Apply Kansas Adult Opportunity event on Monday, Oct. 7, from 4-8 p.m. in the school's foyer. This event, in partnership with Cowley College, is designed to help adults advance their education or careers by applying to colleges or seeking employment. Computers and staff will be available to assist with applications, resumes, and interview preparation. For more information, contact Sarah O'Donnell at 620-441-2010.
